It is one of the most important artworks by Beltrami. It was donated in 1908 to the Civic Museum by Fortunato Turina and it was inspired by the painting by Charles Le Brun kept in Versailles and engraved on a Brazilian white topaz. The composition contains eighteen miniature characters.
