The Little Library organizes a calendar of public reading sessions for the families and their children.
An event for the children from 2 to 8 years old in which the families will be the real protagonists!

This educational project was born from the passion that some families demonstrate everyday for the illustrated albums of the library, which are read and re-read at home. In our reading sessions mothers, fathers or uncles can read aloud their favorite books….for other families.

Every moment will be organized by a mother (but the project is open also to uncles, fathers, grannies etc) who will explain why she has chosen that specific book, what it represents in the relationship with her children, which “role” this book played in some specific moments of the family daily life.

The families who listen to these stories will discover new books and will have an opportunity to establish new relationships in a non-formal context in order to create a little heritage of shared stories. And then, they will find in the Little Library free services and a new space, similar to the familiar one, in which they can share ideas and opinions through the stories.
